Dashal Moore, L.Ac.
Dashal specializes in supporting people to conceive and birth healthy children. She supports patients at all stages of growing their families - preconception counseling, fertility treatment, pregnancy support, and postpartum support. She has helped hundreds of people overcome infertility and other reproductive challenges. Dashal often works with patients who are struggling with thyroid disease, endometriosis, PCOS, recurrent miscarriage, low sperm count, and unexplained infertility. She supports single, coupled, queer, and straight people conceiving naturally, as well as those using IUI or IVF.
Dashal has also worked extensively with patients who have autoimmune diseases, sleep disorders, chronic stress and depression, and chronic pain.
Partnering with her patients, Dashal serves as detective, guide, and cheerleader as she supports each to find their fullest expression of health.
Dashal is a magna cum laude graduate of the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, California. She received her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley and graduated with highest honors. After of her graduate program, she studied with Dr. Edith Chan of Dan Tian Wellness in San Francisco. Her work with Dr. Chan included a yearlong study of Tuina massage, a type of Chinese medical massage, and a yearlong study of diagnosis and acupuncture for musculoskeletal injury, sports medicine and sports performance. For two years Dashal was a staff acupuncturist at Blue Ova, San Francisco’s top acupuncture fertility clinic. In addition, Dashal regularly attends seminars on functional medicine, which is a holistic approach to western medical science and practice.
Dashal found her way to Chinese medicine after being diagnosed with the autoimmune disease hashimotos thyroiditis in 2009. Disappointed with the incomplete solutions offered by conventional medicine, she developed her own approach to wellness using the tools of nutrition, functional medicine, and Chinese medicine. Dashal is now the mother of two daughters - conceived at the ripe and ready ages of 38 and 39. You can often find her hiking with her two dogs, two littles, and one husband in the East Bay hills.
